Please do not ask us to break our policy. If your cancellation is 30 days or less from your race day, there is no credit, no refund, no transfer. Runners who must cancel their registration more than 30 days prior to the race can opt for a 50% credit toward the same event the following year. The 10K provides a discounted entry to young runners under 20 as part of the Youth Trail Initiative. This one loop course packs a lot into 6.2 miles! The course consists of 75% single track and 25% paved trail with 1600ft of elevation gain and 1600ft of elevation loss. You'll pass Multnomah and Wahkeena Falls on your way. Starting and finishing at Benson State Recreation Area the course takes you up Larch Mtn Trail and down Wahkeena Trail. The 10K course covers one of the most popular routes in the Columbia River Gorge. You will have 6 hours to complete the race. The course consists of 70% single-track, 20% two-track/forest service road and 10% pavement. The half marathon course has 3300ft of climbing and one aid station. After tagging the top of Angel's Rest, you'll head back to the finish at Benson State Rec Area with a final view of Multnomah Falls. As the course continues, you make your way over to Devil's Rest and then onto Angel's Rest - enjoying the fantastic views of the Columbia River Gorge along the way. You will then run past Multnomah Falls and turn onto Larch Mountain Trail, running to the top of the Falls. HALF MARATHONĪngel's Rest half marathon course starts at Benson State Rec Area. There is 4700ft of elevation gain and 4700ft of elevation loss. The course consists of 80% single-track, 15% paved trail and 5% two-track. Now it's time for a little hell to heaven! You'll veer onto Devils Rest Trail making your way out to Angel's Rest (photo op!) passing the beautiful Wahkeena Falls on your way to the finish line where post-race festivities await you. You will return almost to Multnomah Falls but turn onto Larch Mtn Trail out to the second aid station. The 20 mile course starts at the Benson State Recreation Area and takes you out to Ainsworth Day Use Area via a few trails where the first aid station is located. The rebirth of sections of the Columbia River Gorge burnt in the 2017 Eagle Creek fire can be seen as you wind uphill through the forest. ![]() Both distances run by the famous Multnomah and Wahkeena Falls.
